Gravity

A small Blue planet and a Large Red planet. Launch the capsule from the Blue planet with an initial velocity of V1 and launch angle of θ1. The simulation uses standard Newtonian Mechanics. Try to place the capsule in orbit around the Red planet. The Red planet is 16 times more massive than the Blue. You can apply impulse (thrust+/-) with the Fire button. R1 is the distance from the Blue planet, and R2 is the distance from the Red planet. KE, PE, and TE are the kinetic, potential, and total energy respectively. Units are arbitrary. The planets are stationary relative to each other (not realistic). Try the PLANET simulation for a more challenging system.
